How to Send Bulk Mail

Bulk Mail is the process of mailing out a large number of pieces at a time. It can be used for a wide range of purposes, including marketing campaigns.

In order to send bulk mail, you must comply with several rules set by the United States Postal Service (USPS). These guidelines ensure that you are able to take advantage of significant discounts offered for large and specialized mailings.

First, you must have a valid USPS mailing permit to be able to send bulk mail. To get a USPS mailing permit, you must provide them with an address list that includes the desired destination addresses as well as the quantity of each piece to be sent out.

Once you have your mailing permit, it is time to sort your mail into various mail trays and/or mail sacks (provided by the USPS at no cost). Then, you must fill out a postage statement either manually or online, apply special barcoded labels to each mailing container, and deliver your completed package to the Post Office that you received your mailing permit from.

Before you begin preparing your bulk mail, it is important to research the USPS's guidelines for bulk mailing. These rules vary by destination zip code and type of mail, so it is a good idea to use software that is specifically designed for preparing bulk mail.
